Notre-Dame Dropcap

If you haven't already noticed, semester 1 at Algonquin loves to assign hand-done projects. That being said, I had to choose a blackletter or civilité-style font, re-draw it on an illustration board, and illustrate a dropcap. I've gotta say I'm SO thankful to my visual dynamics teacher for giving us a lesson on making tracing paper that very week—seeing as how I couldn't use trusty old Light Table. I chose 1742 French Civilité, since it looks deliciously raw and organic. Since it's a French style, I decided I had to quote something with a French reference, hence Victor Hugo's Hunchback of Notre-Dame.
